Engine Room
In this 1984 handheld LCD game from VTech you control a worker in the engine room of a ship who must continuously load coal into the ship's furnace to ensure it keeps moving across the ocean.
Move the worker LEFT and RIGHT to load every lot of coal that arrives in the engine room into the ship's furnace.
You'll score 10 points for every lot of coal collected. The speed and number of lots of coal arriving in the engine room will increase as the score increases. A quick rest is awarded after every 1000 points after which the speed and number of lots of coal will briefly return to that at the start of the game before increasing again as the score increases.
In Game B, a ship mate will occasionally appear bringing some tea. Move the worker all the way to the RIGHT of the screen to drink the tea and earn 50 bonus points. As soon as the worker is finished drinking the tea move LEFT to return to collecting coal.
When a lot of coal is not collected a miss is scored. Three misses and the game is over.
Alarm and chronometer functionality not implemented.
Set button changed to function as Reset (ACL).
