Description

Speed along a 3-dimensional race track in this 1983 stereoscopic 3-D electronic game from Tomy.

Gameplay

Drive your race car down a high speed track trying to outrun as many cars as possible before your time runs out.

To start a game first turn on the POWER. Then press the START / ACCEL button to start a new game.

A game consists of 3 races. Each race lasts about 100 seconds and you start each race with 3 cars. If you lose all 3 cars during a race, the game is over. But if you have any cars left at the end of a race, you begin the next race with 3 new cars.

The race track has 3 lanes and you can move LEFT and RIGHT. Use the ACCEL button to increase the speed of your car. If you release the ACCEL button, your car slows down.

You score 1 point for every car you pass and lose 1 point for every car that passes you.

Trivia

Tomytronic 3-D games simulated 3D by using two LCD panels that were lit by an external light source through a skylight at the top of the device. Released in 1983, it is regarded as the first dedicated personal 3D hardware ever released.
