LCD ZAP

Zap the aliens trying to attack your spaceships in this handheld electronic LCD game released by Tandy® in 1985.

Aliens land and start attacking a fleet of spaceships being protected by Super Boy. Super Boy must move UP and DOWN to avoid the aliens and then FIRE on them to protect himself and the spaceships.  Score 10 points for every alien zapped. Score 100 bonus points for every 1000 points scored.

Each game starts with three Super Boys to protect the space ships. A Super Boy is lost when an Alien reaches him or when all three space ships are destroyed. A space ship is destroyed when it receives two hits, each hit being scored when the same alien fires on the space ship twice. The game ends when all 3 Super Boys are lost.

Occasionally a UFO arrives to help. When Super Boy moves under the UFO it beams energy onto him to give him super strength for a limited time during which he can fire his rays faster at the aliens.

As the game progresses the speed will increase for added difficulty.
