Description
Vermin, the third title in Nintendo's Game & Watch™ series of handheld LCD games, was Nintendo's take on whack-a-mole: strike down moles as they emerge from their holes.
Gameplay
Moles are ruining the garden. To stop them you'll need to move the gardener LEFT or RIGHT and position a hammer (one in each hand) above a molehill, so that when the mole emerges, the gardener can automatically strike the mole with his hammer (yikes, not exactly the most appropriate gameplay for young children). Unfortunately the moles keep coming and speed up as the game progresses. If you miss one, the mole goes back slowly and a miss is scored. Three misses and the Game is over.
Tips
- Game progress is paused temporarily while a mole goes back after a miss, but you can still move the gardener left and right, so use the time to position him over the next mole that will emerge when the game resumes.
- In Game A no mole will appear from the middle hole, but in Game B moles will also appear in the middle making the game more challenging.
