Description

Turtle Bridge, like Parachute and Octopus, is a water-themed title in the Wide Screen format of Nintendo's Game & Watch series of handheld electronic games.

Gameplay

Mr. Game & Watch must assist tourists to get their luggage across a river by jumping on the backs of turtles.

Use the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to jump between turtles and move luggage from the left side of the screen to a tourist on the right side. Be careful not to jump on a turtle when they dive under water to catch a fish or you will fall into the river and score a miss. Three misses and the game is over.

You'll score 3 points for every piece of luggage you successfully get across the river. In addition, when you return to the left side of the screen to collect another load of luggage, you'll earn between 2 and 12 bonus points depending on how quickly you make the round trip.

In Game A, the middle turtle never dives under water since no fish will rise up from the center of the river, providing a safe place to wait. Be careful though, stay on the middle turtle for longer than two minutes and fish will start rising from the center as well.

In Game B, fish can rise for the center of the river at any time, and the speed of the game increases as the score increases.

In both game modes the number of fish increases as the score increases, temporarily reducing in number every 100 points before increasing again.
