Spitball Sparky
Spitball Sparky, Nintendo's innovative take on games like Breakout and Arkanoid, was released in 1984 in this SuperColor™ edition of their Game & Watch™ series of handheld electronic games.
Move Sparky left and right to shoot the ball upwards and hit the colored blocks to remove them. Unlike with Breakout or Arkanoid which require the ball to make contact with the paddle, you can shoot a ball upwards if it is anywhere within the purple area of the screen.
Each block removed will earn points based on the color: 1 point for a green block, 2 points for a blue block and 3 points for a red block. Red blocks will start flashing on the first hit and need to be hit a second time to be removed.
Remove all the blocks to move on to the next level. By completing each level as quickly as possible you'll earn 5 bonus points for every bar remaining on the bonus meter.
Game B adds more difficulty as the blocks will flash and can only be hit when visible. Remove all the red blocks though and the remaining blocks stop flashing.
A miss occurs whenever a ball crashes to the ground. Three misses and the game is over.
