Description

Milton Bradley released this pocket electronic version of the classic Yahtzee dice game in 1995.

Gameplay

The object of the game is to throw 5 dice up to 3 times on each turn to obtain the highest scoring combination for each of 13 categories.

To start, press the ON button. Then press NEW GAME to start a new game.

Press ROLL to begin a turn, and wait for all the dice to stop.

Press any of the 5 HOLD buttons to select the dice you want to keep and exclude from the next roll. The word HELD will appear under each die you select. Press HOLD again to remove the hold from a die.

To score, press SELECT to move the flashing arrow under a category in the upper or lower row, then press ENTER. You may choose to score early, after your first or second roll, but you must score after your third roll. If your third roll earns no points for any open category, you're forced to score zero in an open category of your choice.

Once you've selected your category, Press ENTER to add the ROLL VALUE for that category to your total score. The arrow will stop flashing and remain under the category scored. You can score each category only once per game.

The game ends when all 13 categories have been scored.

Scoring

There are 13 scoring categories divided into upper and lower rows.

Upper Row

Aces =   No. of Aces * 1 point
Twos =   No. of Twos * 2 points
Threes =   No. of Threes * 3 points
Fours =   No. of Fours * 4 points
Fives =   No. of Fives * 5 points
Sixes =   No. of Sixes * 6 points

Lower Row

3 of a Kind =   Total of all Dice
4 of a Kind =   Total of all Dice
Full House =   25 points
Small Straight =   30 points
Large Straight =   40 points
Chance =   Total of all Dice
Yahtzee =   50 points
Special Scoring

There are opportunities to score additional points during a game.

Bonus

Earn 35 extra points when your Sub-Total in the upper row reaches 63 points.

Yahzee Bonus

Earn 100 extra points for each Yahtzee after you score your first Yahtzee by entering a score in the matching upper row category. You'll score for the category and get your 100-point bonus! A maximum of 3 Yahtzee bonuses can be scored per game.

Joker

If a Yahtzee was previously scored and you can't score in the matching upper category for the 100 point Yahtzee Bonus, you must enter a score in the lower category. You will earn the points for that category even if the dice you have does not meet the requirements of the category. If there are no open categories in the lower row, you must score zero in any open category in the upper row.

Tips and Tricks

Hold down the ROLL button when points are being added to your score to increase the speed.
