Break out of prison in this 1982 handheld electronic LCD game from Gakken.

Make your way through the prison yard without being detected and then break through the boundary wall to make your escape. Use the two hiding spots in the prison yard to avoid the spotlight from the guard tower and then strike at the wall with the pick axe until you break through. In Game B it takes more strikes to break through the wall for added difficulty.

Score 1 point for every step that advances you further towards the wall. Score 1 point for every strike on the wall. Score 5 points for every successful escape.

You'll score a miss if you're not in your bunk whenever the night guard makes his rounds, or if you're caught in the spotlight while crossing the prison yard, or if the patrolling guard catches you at the boundary wall. One miss is cleared after every 25 successful escapes. Score three misses and it's life without parole!
