Jumping Boy
Jumping Boy is a frogger-style handheld electronic LCD game released by Gakken in 1982.
A great flood has occurred! Quickly try to reach the rescue boat by hopping on drifting logs and the backs of turtles.
Use the UP and DOWN control buttons to jump forward or backward and make your way across the river to a rescue boat at the top of the screen. You'll need to time your jumps well as the logs and turtles move in opposite directions.
In Game A, there is one rescue boat to reach in each round. Three points are awarded for every boy rescued.
In Game B, there are three rescue boats to fill and a timer that counts down from 11:00. Each boy rescued scores 3 points. When all three boats are filled, the number of time units remaining on the left side of the clock are multiplied by 3 and awarded as bonus points.
A miss is scored when a boy falls in the water, collides with the edge of the screen, or attempts to jump on a boat that is already occupied. Score 3 misses and the game is over.
