Monkey Goalkeeper
Monkey Goalkeeper is a portable electronic game released by the Soviet electronics manufacturer Elektronika in 1989.
Move the monkey as he tries to stop soccer balls from entering the goal. The game features four buttons, one for each spot where the monkey can put his hands. A miss is scored if a ball is not caught. Sometimes a spectator shows up to distract the monkey. If a ball is missed while the spectator is around, the player only gets half of a miss (indicated by a blinking miss mark).
In Game A, balls will be kicked from only three positions instead of all four in Game B. As the game progresses the rate and quantity of balls will increase. Every 100 points this temporarily returns to that at the start of the game before increasing again.
Monkey Goalkeeper is a clone of Nintendo's Egg Game & Watch handheld electronic game, featuring the exact same gameplay, but using the KB1013VK1-2 4-bit microprocessor, a Soviet clone of the Sharp SM-5A microprocessor used by Nintendo.
