Western Sheriff
Bring law and order back to the Old West in this 1987 handheld electronic LCD game from Casio.
Some dangerous outlaws have started makin' trouble for the good folks of a town in the Old West. As sheriff it's your duty to bring back law and order by eliminating these bandits. Be brave and good luck!
Scoring
As you ride through town on your trusty horse you're armed with a pistol to fight the bandits. When a bandit appears, move into position and press FIRE to shoot the bandit and score 10 points. Don't wait too long though, or you'll come under fire from the bandit. If you get hit by an enemy bullet you'll score a miss and the bad guys will get away. Sometimes the bandits will try to surprise you by throwing sticks of dynamite. Do you best to get out of the way because getting hit by an exploding stick of dynamite will count as a miss. Score three misses and the game is over.
Power Points
Your horse starts out with 10 "power points", but loses power one point at a time as you ride. If you lose all your power points you'll score a miss. Luckily though, the good folks of the town have put out some carrots, so your horse can regain some power. But be careful of the barrels rolling your way -- each time your horse has to jump over one he'll lose 3 power points!
Levels
The game has 9 levels with 3 stages in each level. You advance from one stage to the next when you successfully eliminate 15 bandits. Any misses scored are cleared when you advance to each new stage. The action gets more furious as you attain higher levels, so ride hard and shoot straight.
Bonus Points
Each time a stage is completed, the remaining "power points" are multiplied by 10 and added to your total score. In addition, if a stage is completed without scoring any misses, an additional "no miss bonus" of 10 times the remaining power points is also added to your total score.
