Cut and shampoo customer's hair in a busy beauty salon as fast as possible in one of the first handheld electronic games designed to appeal to female players. Released in 1981 by Bandai Electronics as Seiko Matsuda's Perm Salon in Japan and as Beauty Salon abroad.

Move the hair stylist LEFT and RIGHT to reach each customer as they take a seat at the front of the salon. Press the CUT & SHAMPOO button to work on the customer's hair. You'll score 10 points for every customer you work on.

If the customer is satisfied they will leave. Some customers are more demanding and you'll need to spend more time working on their hair. Press the CUT & SHAMPOO button again until the customer is satisfied and leaves.

If customers are not attended to quickly enough they become impatient and raise their hand to draw your attention. If they are still not attended to the customer will get angry and start fuming. Get to them quickly or you'll score a miss and lose one life. Lose three lives and the game is over.

Payments from customers can be deposited at the cash register which appears at random intervals on the right side of the screen. Press the CUT & SHAMPOO when positioned next to the cash register and you'll score 30 bonus points.

A tea station will periodically appear briefly on the left side of the screen. If you reach it in time and press the CUT & SHAMPOO button you'll get a quick tea break and score 100 bonus points.

The speed and number of customers increases as the score increases for added difficulty.

Keep track of the number of customers worked on as the tea station always appears after a specific number of customers have been worked on. This will help you to position yourself closer to the left side of the screen to reach the tea station in time to take a break and score those valuable bonus points.
