Description

In this 1990 handheld LCD game from Acclaim Entertainment Bart Simpson must transform in to Bartman to rescue his baby sister from the evil clutches of the neighborhood bully.

Gameplay

Maggie has been kidnapped by Nelson, the neighborhood bully, and it's up to Bart to rescue her!

In the first stage of the game, which takes place in the upper part of the screen, Bart will need to GRAB three items to transform in to Bartman: his mask, cape and skateboard. But Nelson is armed with a slingshot and is firing walnuts towards Bart so he'll have to avoid being hit in the head by moving LEFT and RIGHT while waiting to collect each of the three items he needs.

Once Bart collects all three items and transforms in to Bartman the action moves to the country road on the lower part of the screen where Nelson has Maggie trapped in the back of a moving fruit truck. Bartman gives chase on his skateboard but needs to JUMP over watermelons being tossed on to the road by Nelson while also avoiding any apples thrown by Nelson flying through the air above.

To defeat Nelson, Bart must hit Nelson in head with 10 apples which he can GRAB from his dog, Santa's Little Helper, who periodically appears on the right side of the screen. To hit Nelson, Bart must move all the way to the left side of the screen and then THROW the apple at Nelson's head when Nelson is closest to him.

A miss is scored whenever Bart is hit by a walnut, apple or watermelon. The game ends after three misses.
